Generous expanses of lawn are complemented by a large private pool area, with a five-star hotel feel, lined with large terracotta potted palms, trees and plenty of sun beds. Here is you’ll find a large, comfortably furnished gazebo with lanterns for romantic swims and relaxation. Other features include a loggia furnished with a table and chairs, as well as a sofa and chairs running along one side of the property, meaning guests can indulge in relaxed meals, while another on the top floor provides the ultimate photo opportunities with far- reaching views in two directions.
It’s hard to leave this glamorous setting but sea lovers will want to make the 8km trip to the Marina of Scarlino at the southern end of the bay of Follonica where fishing boats land their catch and leisure boats leave to visit the islands that make up the Tuscan Archipelago. From here sandy beaches, furnished with trendy beach clubs and eateries, stretch for 20km around the bay. Inland, golfers have a 9km drive across Scarlino's fertile valley floor to the pristine Golf Club Toscana with its rolling hills backdrop and olive grove boarders.
