Positive: The house is situated on a mountain side with stunning views of the Zillertal. Completely renovated in 2016, the house dates back centuries and is a great example of how to bring an old building up to date with all the ammenities expected by modern travellers. The house has two bath rooms with showers and there are two toilets, all situated on the ground floor along with the kitchen and dining room. On the first floor you will find four bedrooms and on the second floor one bedroom and a big living/tv room. Beds are good and there are heated floors throughout the ground floor. From a separate entrance you will find a spacious sauna and shower in what used to be the old stable.
Negative: As the house is situated on a very steep hill side, driving all the way to the house is not possible unless you have a 4x4 and nerves of steel. However, the host is more than willing to drive you, your lugage and groceries to the house, but you will have to park your own vehicle down the slope and walk to and from the house. This was not advertised and was somewhat annoying as it does restrict your feeling of being able to move freely. Also keep in mind that entering the house is on the opposite side of where you reach the building and is not for the disabled or people in wheel chairs. Beware of extra fees for towels (!) and for having pets in the house and for the local tourist tax (the later is applicable everywhere in Austria - everything is to be paid directly to the owner in cash).
