Positive: Me and my partner stayed at the villa at the end of September 2024, renting the entire space (which is two separate apartments of the same large villa building). We stayed in the upstairs space for the views and kitchen use, as the lower apartment has no kitchen, but does have the only washing machine of the entire property. The views from the villa were lovely, particularly in the mornings. We also loved the clean modern design in the villa. The place is huge with loads of very private space inside and outside for guests, huge sofa, big dining space and kitchen. The master bedroom was also very large with a walk-in wardrobe. Loved the modern bathroom with good shower and huge bathtub (although we found there wasn't enough hot water to fill the bath and had to boil water on the hob). The TV is also huge and has free App subscriptions for guests to use with free WIFI. The swimming pool was amazing, actually much bigger than it appears on some photos (unfortunately not quite getting the sun this time of year so it was cold) but still nice for a quick refreshing dip. The villa also has a lovely outside dining area too and bbq area at the back of the property (although we didn't use the bbq so can't comment on functionality).

Negative: There was a few minor things that disappointed us during our stay. The main thing being the additional €40 to pay during the check-in at GOELBA's office in Portoferraio, just to rent (not purchase) one double bed cover and pillows covers. They charge €20 for single beds and €40 for doubles, so something to keep in mind if you travel with family you could be looking at a lot of additional costs. The other details which I would say is under-played in the property description is the road to the property. Either route (from the north or south) to the villa are very poorly maintained dirt roads. The week prior to our stay it had rained and the roads were full of deep puddles and thick mud. Thankfully our car (a Seat Ignis) managed but I imagine any smaller/city vehicle would have real issues getting there. We also didn't rent a scooter because of the same risk. Another thing to note is that the large parking space of the villa is also at the bottom of a very steep gated driveway into the villa. In general we found the lighting circuit for the villa very excessive and confusing (some instructions or labels on the switches would be very useful), there is over 24 light switches in the living area alone which is crazy! Most for the same lights. We also found that there was a few lights not working, including the upstairs outside lights for the huge balcony space (with broken patio furniture - Sofa) which we would have really enjoyed for the evenings. The bathroom mirror light also wouldn't work, however the ceiling lighting was sufficient. We also would have loved to use the pool in the evenings, however the underwater lights seemed to work on a timer which only comes on during the day when it isn't needed...
