ABOUT VILLA IL FIENILE
This charming and carefully restored Villa is privately set on the property grounds. It is spacious and elegantly furnished, whilst also retaining original features like exposed stonework and chestnut beam ceilings. It develops over 2 floors, comprising of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. At the entrance, there is a large paved patio area ideal for dining outdoors, including a large table and chairs that seat up to 8 people and parasol to shade against the sun whilst enjoying an ‘al fresco’ meal.
Sun loungers can be used in the sun or the shaded area and a large, lush garden surrounds the entire property. The ground floor contains a double height living room, comprising a large sofa, and armchairs. A satellite TV and an open fireplace will add an extra glow in the evenings, if needed. The fully fitted kitchen is a generous size, including an ample amount of storage and plenty of counter space, perfect for preparing all your holiday meals.
A staircase just off the living room leads to a landing that overlooks the living area which includes 2 double bedrooms, on either side. They are both very tastefully decorated with plush double beds and chest of drawers, large double French windows offer glorious views of the surrounding Etruscan hills, whilst also availing of generous natural light within the room. The smallest of the 3 bedrooms contains bunk-beds, ideally for children or teenagers. A modern style bathroom, complete with a generous sized walk-in shower and WC complete this floor.
ABOUT THE RESORT
This charming farmhouse complex is the result of a recent and elegant restoration of a typical Tuscan country house, near the town of Casole d’Elsa, in the province of Siena. The Etruscan hills surrounding the property are but a short distance from the most celebrated Renaissance cities and towns of Florence, Siena and Volterra. It was originally built in the 19th century, and it represents a model of Tuscan architecture.
The entire property comprises of 6 apartments in the main building, a separate barn with private gardens (Il Fienile), a restaurant, and a fantastic infinity swimming pool, all of this surrounded by 55 hectares of vineyards of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot grapes and an olive grove. At the property you can enjoy the typical Tuscan cuisine at the restaurant run by the owner, while admiring the beautiful landscape.
Mountain bike rentals and guided bike tours are available, together with a number of golf clubs within easy reach: the old established and prestigious “Ugolino Golf Club” in Florence (18 holes), or the nearby “Abbadia Golf” (9 holes), and the renown “Royal Golf La Bagnaia” (18 holes), we can arrange tee-times and transport as required.
