Torre Belcanto Mugello - the charm and taste of an historic residence in Mugello in the heart of Tuscany, once a stopover for noble travelers and their horses, where is possible to enjoy the unique experience of sleeping in an ancient tower from the 1200s which with its 360° view dominates the entire valley and once served as a lookout point.
The main complex of around 500m², officially hosting 14 people, is part of a property of around 5 hectares, including a large park, a garden decorated with numerous plants, a beautiful panoramic swimming pool overlooking the valley, a small church, as well as the adjacent Villa Belcanto which can be rented together with Torre Belcanto for a total hosting of 24 people. The interiors are furnished with finely crafted and antique objects. Its numerous rooms ventilated and illuminated by Liberty period windows finely decorated with the precious touch of the Chini family, the living room with fireplace, the dining room, the kitchen equipped with professional catering facilities, the rotisserie room and the oven wood, breathe and bear witness to the sense of conviviality of the past, typical of historic homes.
The accommodation is divided over 3 floors and overlooks a vast garden laterally, complete of table and chairs, a panoramic swimming pool complete with sun loungers, barbecue, all exclusive and partially fenced. The main entrance of what was once a small castle in Mugello, is on the first floor and there are two living rooms, one of which accesses directly via a loggia the external garden with the swimming pool. From the living rooms you access the sleeping area via a corridor that leads to the 3 double bedrooms (one of which has also a double sofa bed) and 1 bathroom with shower. On the ground floor we find the rotisserie room, the kitchen, the dining room with fireplace and a bathroom with shower. On the second floor we find 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom without shower. From the second floor you also access the magnificent suite for 2 people in the Tower. The house has internet access (wifi), gas boiler, private swimming pool, free outdoor parking in the property, TV, washing machine, independent gas kitchen, equipped with fridge, oven, coffee maker, freezer, kitchen utensils and citrus juicer. The rental of the structure is complete of bed linen and towels. To reach the property is necessary to travel a small stretch of gravel road (unpaved).
The property is located in Tuscany in the beautiful Mugello valley, in the municipality of Vicchio, birthplace of Giotto and Beato Angelico, reachable from the A1 Barberino M.llo motorway exit (20km), just 14km from the Mugello international circuit, 30km from Florence, 40km from Florence Amerigo Vespucci airport, 18km from Lake Bilancino where you can relax on the beaches of the Bahia Cafè and practice sports such as sailing and windsurfing, and 12km from the 18-hole Poggio dei Medici golf course. 5km away is the town of Borgo San Lorenzo with numerous bars, clubs, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, train station, and is located in an ideal area for families surrounded by the woods. Numerous trekking and mountain bike tours are also available.
